      Bingo!

Although the OP said he would "prefer steel" he was "open" to polymer, so presumably he would be open to another alloy frame.

CZ PCR weighs 27.5 ounces in 9mm: http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-75-d-pc...mm-14-rd-mags/

      Sig p239 weighs 25.2 ounces in 9mm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIG_Sauer_P239

P239 feels great in the hand and shoots even better. Give it a try.

You're going to be hard pressed to get what you are looking for based on some on the indication you want to keep the same approx size / form factor given your reference to the next size down (P238) being too small. You are looking at approx 2 oz within everything around that size regardless of poly once you throw out the Glock as the lightweight option.

A FN five-seven is probably one of the lightest but is a bit larger and polarizing.

You may find its not the weight as much as how its balanced being what gives you what you are looking for.

The EMP is 27 oz but doesnt feel it for example.

The P01 when handled next to the PCR does not fee as good static since if feels front heavy. But when you fire it in rapid fire it actually feels better as that bit of forward weight helps it in follow-up.

I guess it comes down to what you are looking to achieve. Something Empirical vs subjective feel.

Maybe a PPQ would be something to think about. Its definitely lighter if you are willing to pay the premium, but try one first to see if you think you notice it or it gives you want you want.

I carry a p380 and had a PM9, but those steel Kahrs are absolute clean gems.

                basically

Look for a better holster and/or belt.

Unless it is pocket carried, a good holster makes more difference than a few ounces of weight of a pistol

                  so nice.

Kind of a pistol for evolved gunners, but they are fantastic. American Barn made, and just well.
