The last WTS ad for a CZ Scorpion EVO pistol on this forum (advertised & transferred as disassembled parts) sold for $1600 and it took over a month to do it.

Since the beginning of this year, WTS ads have been sparse due to there being a limited options to make a fixed magazine for the CZ Scorpion series of firearms.
^Currently, the only option to make a fixed magazine is to permanently affix (weld/epoxy/rivet) a 10 or less round magazine into the magazine well.

Maybe shoot some PM's to members that have sold them recently and see if you can get any info from them.

OP was asking about the CZ Scorpion Evo pistol, not the rifle.

Pistol is definitely worth it over the carbine in my opinion. Unfortunately, they're extremely rare here. I wouldn't part with mine for any less then $1500 and even then I would be hesitant.

wait, pistols with magazines outside of the magwell now have to be permanently affixed to the firearm? I missed that memo...lol

If anyone needs a couple 10 round mags, I've got 2 I don't use that will be reasonably priced. PM me.

Changes went into effect on 01-01-2017...

Since 01-01-2000, a semi-auto pistol that accepts magazine outside of the pistol's grip is an assault weapon. [PC 30515(a)(4)(D)]

Starting 01-01-2017, a semi-auto pistol with a "bullet button" style magazine lock that accepts magazine outside of the pistol's grip is an assault weapon. [PC 30515(a)(4)(D)]

While in CA, it is illegal (felony) to import, make, advertise for sale, or transfer an assault weapon. [PC 30600(a)]

Semi-auto pistol with a fixed 10 or less round magazine outside of the pistol's grip is CA legal.

In order to be considered a fixed magazine, the magazine needs to be contained in the firearm in such a manner that it can not be removed without disassembling the firearm's action or the magazine needs to be permanently affixed to the firearm's magazine well. [PC 30515(b)]

Currently there is no method or device that will allow a magazine to be contained in a CZ Scorpion Evo firearm in a manner that prevents the magazine from being removed without disassembling the firearm's action.

Therefore, the only method left for making a fixed magazine for the CZ Scorpion Evo pistol is the permanently attach (weld/epoxy/rivet) the magazine into the firearm's magazine well.

                        Got it.

I'll hot glue the magazine into place. i'm comfortable with that definition of permanent.

You may be comfortable, but is CA DOJ?

If hot glue makes a "permanently" fixed mag you're all set.

As did I with my MP5 type carbine. Even though there is a fixed mag solution now for HK type rifles. I just don't want to go there. I like my detachable mags and I'll live with featureless until I can leave CA.
