Beretta INOX Scratch

So my friend and I were working on his INOX making it into a Ghost Gun (all White color). He put the slide stop spring on incorrectly which resulted in the slide staying open without clambering the last round. He fixed the position of the spring but in doing so scratched the side of the frame.

I'm aware that the frame is anondized but have seen touch up pens by Birchwood. Any idea if there is a solution for this without having to reanondizing the entire frame?

Also included a picture of the grip. Not sure if there's a way to fix this either as it looks like material has been lost.

I understand but the point of him buying the INOX was for the appearance. Not sure if there is even a purpose of buying it over the standard 92 if not for the appearance.

He broke its cherry, like that first scratch you get in your new car. Tell him to get over it and enjoy the gun. After all, it's a gun, not a Barbie Doll.

Bummer! I completely understand what you/ your friend are feeling. I have a decent scratch on the receiver on one of my shotguns that I got on a dove hunting trip. Bugged me when it happened, and then reality set in, guns are tools. If it bugs you guys that much, just have it refinished.

Its going to be like a scratch on a car. If you use a pen or some other solution, it will cover it up and from a distance, look ok. But it will not look new and from an arm span distance, you will be able to tell a difference. So no, nothing to be done to remedy the scratch. Got to go all the way and redo the finish. So tell your friend to shoot it, use it, and then if he still wants to refinish a couple years later, go do it then. Scratches are like ex girlfriends... at first it hurts and then its like who? Who cares?

Put a little dot over the scratch and tell people it's an 'i' for inox.
