Just got my Springfield 1911 mcoperator back from there custom shop. Had the tool steel parts installed with a 4 pound trigger job. Worth every penny..

SACS is one of the best custom shops around.

agreed. Dave Williams runs a great shop. I've always been exceptionally pleased with both the quality of their work and their service. If i had the cash i'd have them build me a new custom pistol.

[shrug] Did something change recently at the Custom Shop?

The last work I had done was over a year ago, but it was good work, at a good price, delivered on time. Dave also gave me good advice about the type of work to do. And the lady who does intake and client contact was also nice and helpful.

Agreed. SACS is the best out there.

They are nothing more than a shadow of what they once we're. All of their attention is being focused on their "Custom" guns

I noticed that today when I went to look at what they still offered. I'm very disappointed. They used to offer like 4 pages of custom work.

SACS Used to be a custom shop. They are no longer a true custom shop. They now offer only a menu of items/services

They used to be a true custom shop- but most of the bespoke gunsmiths no longer work there. You can only use Springfield parts- previously they would create whatever you wanted, from whatever parts you requested- a true custom service for each pistol. Now its just an assembly line with specific work queued up. Its a bull**** deal. They don't even do rail work or re-work, like the accu-rail service they previously offered.

Congrats on the trigger work though- 1911's have sweet triggers, and doubly so with some TLC.

Man, my MC Operator factory trigger is so nice I can't distinguish a difference between it and the TRP. Can't imagine how much nicer a tuned trigger would be.

Such a disappointment. They used to be one of the bests.
