    PPQ M1 "Q5" - UPDATE

I don't know why someone would sell a Q5 slide on gun broker, but I'm glad they did.

    Update:

In addition to acquiring the Q5 slide, I also picked up an M2 5 inch with an Apex trigger and titanium nitride barrel. Here are my observations at 10 yards:

All iterations of the ppq are no different in mechanical accuracy. And they are as accurate as my vp9. The real difference is in the weight and speed.

M1 4 inch: light, fast (slide action), not flat shooting ("snap")
    M1 Q5: light, fast, flatter
M2 5: not as light, not as fast, flattest

Vp9: similar to the ppq m1 4 but a little flatter with a not-as-good trigger.

Ppq 45: bigger, heavier M2 with an amazing trigger.

I hope this answers some of the questions.

Are M1 and M2 slide interchangeable?

Nice but please tell us the difference when you shoot at 10-15 yards.

Great pickup, That is strange, I wonder what he upgraded to warrant taking it off. What did that run you? I know a few people over on the Walther forum has been looking for one. I love my Q5, I just got an RMR for it, can't wait to try it out.

I found the frame for your Q5 Match. I wonder if it's the same seller. Maybe he thinks he can get more by seperating the PPQ Q5 Match since there are lots of them asking around $700-$800 range on GunBroker.

How much did that run you, if you don't mind me asking?

That's a good price considering factory options for the plain 5" slide assembly is around $520.

Is there anything special about the blue Q5 trigger?

Most user reports suggest cosmetic only

Good question the ppq trigger is pretty good itself regardless of it being the match variety...

Nice. I purchased a q5 match upper last but it cost me $700.
