    Gen4 Glock27 Market Pricing Request

Hey fellow Calgunners. I've been out of the loop for several years, and am in need of your expertise as far as a pricing estimate goes.

I'm looking to condense my handgun ownership, and am thinking about selling my Gen4 Glock 27. I originally purchased it from a law-enforcement officer through private party sale and went through a local dealer here in my town.

Under my ownership, I installed TruGlo green-colored tritium/fiber-optic sites on the pistol.
I also purchased an Advantage Arms .22LR conversion kit (to practice with cheaper .22LR ammo, as opposed to the original .40S&W ).
In total, the gun has seen less than 2000 rounds (mostly .22LR practice at the range). The gun has never seen carry duty, nor has it ever been in any holsters, and it is free of any blemishes. Basically like-new condition.

How much would this go for, in the current market? Pistol-only, or pistol + conversion kit, or even pistol + kit + ammo? I've still got a couple hundred rounds of .40S&W FMJ brass reloads from a Calgun vendor down in Southern California.

    Thanks for your help!

    IMHO,

Now that the gen 5's are out, Gen 4's are going to be flooding the market, with the possible exception of the G42/ G43.

.40 is/has been steadily declining in popularity, to the point that they sell for less than the comparably sized Glocks in popular calibers.

The used .22 caliber kit is maybe worth $150 to 200 tops and the pistol nearer to $400 to $600 in the current market, even with Gen 4 premium...

Check the private sales forum to see what people asking, versus what they are actually getting.

Those sold quickly are closer to the true market price...

The only Gen 5 out is G17 and G19. It may be a long while if ever before we see Gen 5 subcompacts. You are not going to see a rush of Gen 4 subcompacts getting dumped any time soon.

I'd say the G27G4 with sight upgrade is $700 - $725 asking price, start there and you can always be ready to negotiate down. The .40 just doesn't bring the resale that the 9mm does. I say this as a G27G4 owner myself. Also those sights are not as desireable as Ameriglo or Trij HD.

Look on ebay for prices on the 22 conversion, maybe $200-225 with one mag but probably less.

I'm the wrong guy to ask about reman ammo, and IMO it always makes a gun less valuable to me if I am the buyer, when reman ammo is mentioned or packaged with it. In fact I usually rule the gun out when I know reman ammo was primarily all that was used in it.

        Thanks for the inputs!

The ammo used was from one of the Calguns certified vendors, so I trusted that they were of quality. For what it's worth, none of Bulletman's ammo have ever given me issues, and I've used both .40S&W as well as .45ACP from him.

Honestly Id estimate around $600-$650 without the conversion kit.
Idk if anyone would really be interested in the conversion kit.

            It's worth $350...

I'll take it for that! Cool?

            Be careful who you ask...

You are probably right on the price, but I'd ask a little more to start. Then you can 'cut someone a deal' - it always feels good when a seller comes down on the price for you

And someone will want that conversion, maybe not the gun buyer though. At least not until he shoots a G27 for the first time, then that conversion kit might seem like a good idea. The G27 is not the most pleasant gun to shoot

Thats what I hear, and I fear thats the reason why even gen 4 g27's cant command the higher pricepoint that even a gen4 g26 could.
But then, people rarely sell their gen4 g26's

I'll probably list all-inclusive @ $650 (including the conversion kit and the sights and the extra ammo). When I get around to taking pictures of everything. Do let me know if anyone in the meantime is seriously interested.

                    Thanks all!

I knew that would not last as soon as I saw it listed
