    Any FMK 9C1 Gen2 owners?

    What's the word?

Local LGS has some and they feel great in the hand.

But reviews seem to be all over the place.

I have one in putrid green, er FDE.

Very comfortable to hold, came with extra rear sights to adjust for elevation (but keep reading to find out why this is pointless), strips like a Glock, compared to my Sigma VE the trigger is even longer though smoother, and the only time it choked was firing Homeland ammo - not surprising since other guns of mine also had trouble firing Homeland.

All nice and good except....... don't expect to have any kind of reasonable accuracy beyond 20 feet or so. And accuracy even closer than that is lacking. With my gun the groups, if you want to charitably call them that, really open up past combat distance.

I got the FMK because I wanted an inexpensive though reliable (with good ammo) handgun to stash in the homestead in case I needed immediate access to a gun. Same reason I have the Sigma, which is far more accurate though less pleasant to shoot.

If you're looking for a target quality handgun then you'll be disappointed in the FMK. However, if you're like me and only want something quick and dirty to use and with the understanding that it may be confiscated after use, then I think you'll be satisfied with what the FMK offers.

Sounds like I should stick with a Hi Point c9.

Have one, install the FAT trigger is $60 (however, the Apex trigger mod. for S&W SD9VE only $20). It's not accurate to 3-2 inch target group at 30 feet, but it bang every time I pull the trigger. Very reliable pistol.

Sounds like it's better to spend a few dollars more to get an XD.
