    Recommendation for Commander 1911

    Looking for:

    1. On roster
    2. High end
    3. No Mim parts or at least minimal

I'm curious what everyone would recommend.

    Thanks in advance.

The only thing I can think of to fit that bill of requirements would be the dan Wesson cbob

        Recommendation for Commander 1911

Get a Springfield mil-spec and have a fully custom commander built off that frame and slide.

Nighthawk Predator II. The one on the roster is blued, or available in 2 different two tones including a sniper grey/black.
            Here they are http://www.nighthawkcustom.com/pisto...er/predator-ii

Here is mine that has been hard chromed for carry duty. This thing makes me look like I know what I am doing at the range. Small groups

That raises another question. Do you guy generally think positively about the third party finishes: Hard Hat, NP3, Hard Chrome, etc? Or do you generally stick to stock finish to not void warranties?

Wilson Professional or Elite Professional. I went with the Pro. I't extremely accurate and I've never had a single issue. The Professional replaced a Nighthawk T2 - the most unreliable gun I've ever owned.

This. Any 1911 you buy off the rack will end up in a smiths hands eventually. It helps to have a relationship with them from the start.

Define "high end?" You'd need to spend a LOT of $$$ to get better than a Dan Wesson CBOB.

Can you tell me where you had the work done?

Also a general question that some one here might know, is there a Les Baer Custom Carry that is on the rooster that doesn't have front serrations?

How about a Sig C3? Beautiful gun, great shooter, ready to go out of the box, and at least $500 cheaper than anything else that has been recommended.

You can research that question yourself. Go to Gun Genie and type in the info.
                          Why no front serrations?

Accurate Plating and Weaponry. They do hard chrome for a lot of custom builders. Hard Chrome is their specialty. They also undercut the trigger guard a bit for me.

Ahh thank you. Man his prices are excellent, at first I was going to send it to Alan Tanaka. However since I am mailing it, being in or out of state shouldn't matter that much.
