    1911 magazine with CMC

Anyone with a 10 round chip McCormick power mags or the new rail power mags can give me your experiences with them. Advice about reliability from both these mags are greatly appreciated....

My 1911 was not reliable with cmc mags. I switched to wilson combat and never had any issues since. You should just buy one to make sure your gun works with them before getting bunch of them.
A SWAT Monkey is a powerful psychological tool. Imagine you are a criminal hiding in a closet and you hear "Release the monkey!" You would shudder.

Wilson Combat, Tripp Mags work best in my 1911. Never tried the 10 rounders though. Sacrilege to use 10 rounders in a 1911! Lol

I have used CMC mags for many years, but have had some of the older ones start to fail. The mouth of the mag has apparently expanded to where they are now difficult to insert and no longer fall freely when ejected. These are a couple decades old, though, and have been used extensively in matches, etc.

I have power+ for my trp, and xp for my trojan in 9mm.
The power+ were 8 rounders, and they work perfectly. I've used jhp and fmj and theyre great!
The XP magazines would not seat in the trojan with the slide closed and a full mag. I had to send it back to STI to have a different magazine release, Dawson precision, and they work great now. I tried the wilsons and the rounds would get nosedive on the feed ramp.

Friend of mine has a few of the 10 round CMC mags... Last range trip with him and his buddies, the 3 CMCs ran fine, no malfunctions etc...

We tested the CMCs in a Springfield Trophy Match, Nighthawk of some sort, a Baer and a Wilson; several magazines each without issue.

P.S. the MecGar (anti friction closing and nickled), ACT, Wilson and Tripp mags all ran 100% as well.

Ran 3 Chip 10 rounders at a recent competition. Performed well after being dropped in the dirt and stepped on(). No problems after 250ish rounds in a day

I have a CMC 10 round. Not fully functional on a Kimber Custom Classic. Getting 10 rounds into it was also a challenge
