Beretta 92 Vertec SAO

This is the most unique handgun I own. It's built on a 92 Vertec frame and a 92D Vertec slide with some kind of old Beretta safety(or Taurus I can't remember). This gun is single action only, no frame mounted safety, no double action. The frame has internal pre-travel and over-travel adjustment screws, front and back strap checkering with Wilson Combat sights.

The only down side? I can't shoot it for $#^$%$. I can't shoot any Beretta for some strange reason

OP, if you do happen to take it apart, could you take a picture of the hammer and the trigger bar? I assume I know how the DA was disabled, but would like to see if my assumption is correct.

Why did Beretta go with the slide safety versus the frame safety? Was it a money saver? A slide safety certainly is a reach for average sized hands.

Some Euro military contract requirement. Lots of P38, PPK, and their ilk floating around after WW2 over there, slide safety/decocker and all.

The 92 originally had a frame mounted safety, and operated much like a CZ75.

Absolutely awesome, just freakin' awesome! Kinda reminds me of my Vertec but yours is definitely much cooler. Good God, I would really love to give that a try.
