Red Dot / RMR on a Glock... $229....

So there is a trainer who uses a few names and he promoted the RMR Glock combo... Kelly McCann aka Jim Grover

His draw drills with the RMR combo are excellent

I know that others came along, kinda claimed the idea as their own invention...

Fortunately Glock started making a factory version...
Lone Wolf is making an RMR slide too

And now- I just got an ad from Brownells

As we can't get gen 4 Glocks in CA, I guess RMR is our way to keep them fun...
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
    (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

Not a bad price! RMR cut alone is about $125 + 3 week wait and shipping back and forth. For another $80 you can get this whole slide which includes front serrations

Absolutely hideous but a great price regardless.

Argh, 19s with no window are out of stock/no back-order.

          Thanks for post.

It is advertised that it will co-witness with irons. Anyone know if it is a lower 1/3 co-witness or absolute?

That would work on a gen4.. right?

I have an RMR.. might be fun to try for that price, but my G17 is a gen 4

            Or I could get a G19 one.. but it's a gen2 ..

            I guess I don't like gen3s.. lol

So, any reason why it wouldn't work with gen4 or 2?

Also, looks like a bare slide, so you need all the rest of the bits to make it work (if you didn't want to rob your existing slide).

Will work on a Gen4 Frame will just have a little gap from the slide to frame in front where the guide rod is.

                What about a gen 2?

Might be fun on my G19?

Looked it up... looks like it will fit fine.

Will a Gen 3 Glock 19 complete slide fit and function properly on a Gen 2 Glock 23 frame..?

Some people are saying the Delta Point Pro is better.

                        That's just your opinion.

I say check both out. I personally like the Delta Point Pro better. No tinted glass and a bigger sight picture and less frame boarders around the glass. There was also a survey that went around showing how most competitive shooters are using the C-more or delta point; also stated how the delta point is becoming more and more used competitively.

Brownells does not carry an optic cut slide for the DPP. this means that the RMR is better.

Are there other red dots that use an rmr mount?

And for that matter Shield RMS is even better, if just slightly, than the Trijicon RMR. It costs less and is about the same width as a Glock slide. RMR is slightly wider. The problem is you'd be looking at a Glock MOS slide or custom cut if you want to mount one. And, most places that offer slide work don't yet mill for this sight.
