Beretta 92/M9 - what version should I go with?

I'd like to pick one up before too long, especially as Beretta is moving and will likely fall off the roster.

    I know nothing about them.

What versions should I look for/stay away from?

Personally, I'd get a Brigadier from Wilson Combat, if it's on the roster.

      I don't see it listed.

I forgot to mention, I think I'd prefer no rail.

        Hmmm. Beretta 92fs Inox perhaps?

Are you strictly looking for 9mm?

I prefer the 92 over the m9 for one reason, and that is the radius grip. While it doesn't make the grip smaller compared to the m9, it does allow me to have a better grip on it. I probably wouldn't own a Beretta if it weren't for the radius grip.

I have fairly large hands so probably not a big concern

You can Google the differences between the 92'sf and m9.
I have a early 92fs and a m9 not sure what year, but the diferencez for me are almost none.
Just get what ever is cheaper, unless you like the m9 engraving.
92 fs a2 and m9a1 are the ones that have rails I believe.
If I had to buy another 92 I would get a brigidier bit that's 800+ so either that or another m9.

                  M9A1 for rail options.

If you can find one for a good price, off roster 92A1with rail and sights that can be removed and replaced.

Whichever has the straight dust cover. Most likely the M9 these days though not a guarantee with commercial M9's. Simply because it looks better and the Beretta I remember from the 80's.

I would get the M9. Probably cheaper, and it was the std issue US Army sidearm...gives it a little more interest then a 92fs. For what it's worth, I decided to own both the 92FS and the M9 as well as the unicorn of the 92 series, the 92 centurion.

Can't go wrong with just a basic 92/M9. I currently own two. Best shooting pistols I've ever owned.
