Apex Glock trigger needs babying to reset

So I just installed a Apex trigger + bar, Lone Wolf 3.5lb connector, and 6lb trigger spring on a Gen 3 Glock 19. I'm hitting an odd issue where if I have the trigger firmly grasped during dry fire and slide rack, the trigger will not reset. However, if I veeeery slightly let up on the pressure, it will reset and function normally. With the slide off, I can push the connector to the side and replicate a reset, so nothing is grossly out of spec.

My plan is to do a giant parts-swap rodeo between OEM and the aftermarket parts on another Glock to see if I can resolve the problem practically, but any idea what's going on here or things to check for?

    Try the stock connector first.

Also watch Mosin's video on Glock reset. If you see exactly how it works, it will make troubleshooting easier.

Also make sure you put the trigger spring in correctly and not upside down. It should make an 'S' shape like this. If you install it upside down, you get reset problems.

Switch out the connector and make sure the spring is properly oriented

Update: Springs were properly aligned. Swapped the Lone Wolf connector with a OEM standard-weight connector. Both pistols work and reset now - OEM trigger, OEM trigger return spring, and Lone Wolf 3.5lb connector; and Apex trigger, OEM connector, and 6 lb return spring.

Trigger pull on the OEM trigger + Lone Wolf connector pistol is now quite nice, but the Apex is a bit too heavy for what I intend on using the pistol for. I will try a different minus-type connector.

            Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

Get some Glock 'minus' connectors. They have a little lighter pull, but no hinky problems with reset or slide going into battery like I have had with aftermarket connectors. I only run factory minus connectors now. They also run fine with extra power trigger springs.

And the trigger spring is not a return spring, it is more like an assist spring (hence the reason extra power spring lightens the pull). The spring that returns the trigger is actually the striker spring. I point that out because you can run into problems with trigger return (returning back to forward) if you go too light on the striker spring.

Sounds like the spring is not installed correctly.

                  Do this...

                  Go buy an M&P!

I'm REALLY sorry! But I just couldn't resist. It was too easy!

In all seriousness...and I realize that this won't help you this weekend...but the guys are Apex are really great with their customer service support. If you don't get it sorted this weekend, give them a call on Monday. Good luck!
