    Target Master CZ TS preorder?

Does anyone have experience with pistol pre-order with Target Master? my friend told me he did a CZ TS preorder with Target Master, and he paid $1150 OTD including tax and dros fees, but he didn't know how long he had to wait. any experience with TM for pre-order? like how long it takes to get the order.

my local gun store has one TS in stock, but I know they probably sell it at MSRP and won't give me price via the phone/facebook.

I was in TM over the weekend and they looked like they had at least one in stock as of 6pm or so. The Milpitas location.

I think the in stock price is higher than pre order price. I was surprised my friend told me he paid $1150 OTD.

            Well go there and ask?

I ordered a 686+ from them, they actually have good prices for a LGS. I don't recall how long it took, but it wasn't a bad experience. What IS a bad experience is trying to PPT a gun at TM (Milpitas), probably the worst experience I've ever had as I was shunted between no less than 5 employees for one piece of paperwork as the manager kept pulling them off to help people browsing the display cases... TWO HOURS for a PPT. Meanwhile at Imber and Smithers ... 10 minutes or as long as it takes to fill in the paperwork.

But I digress ... if you are buying FROM them it's good. If PPT, go elsewhere, even though their hours are good.

+1. I think my last PPT there was about 1.5 hours. If you are going to do it, make sure you know in advance what paperwork they require and what they accept, as it's more than just your license, FSC and registration (or comparable proof of address), IIRC.

Your friend either got a great deal or told you he did to make himself feel better about paying that much

I shopped around for quite a while for my Tactical Sport and the sticker price didn't fluctuate much between $1199 and $1249 - with 8% tax that would be ~$1309 or $1348 and change without DROS, and with would be $1321 or $1376. You might get a sale from your LGS, you might find a LGS trying to get rid of one that has been on the shelf for a while. They are not very common to most CA gun stores unless they have a big selection, specialize in CZ's, or competition pistols.

$1150 out the door would be a great price indeed. Literally $200 off. I bought mine a few months ago and called maybe 7 or 8 stores.

The last time I bought a firearm from them, they wanted so much personal info it was practically like giving DNA. I would never go back there again.
