Yup she's a beauty! I've had chances to pick one up and let them go for some reason or another I've never shot one but it's on my long list to purchase one. Thanks for sharing looks nice and would look better in my safe

My GF has the 232 on her CCW, it's IMO a great choice. I love those grips, need to look into those.

Thanks they are both fastbacks. It's hard to buy guns and ammo and restore cars they are both expensive hobbies to say the least. I go through phases on which I choose to dedicate my time to at the moment it's all guns and ammo thanks to California I'm trying to get all I can before the end of this year especially in the ammo department. I'll pick a 232 up someday

I just picked up my P230SL a few weeks ago and damn it's a great lil shooter for sure!!! Points so natural and more accurate than I expected

Unfortunately, it's a dying breed of relatively large, heavy, low-capacity, high-quality .380s. Right there with Beretta 84/85 and a few others. They have all been discontinued because few would pay the premium for the quality of a well built gun.

A P232 has a place in any collection, both as a historical piece and as a great range toy. I wouldn't consider it for CCW, though. At that size and weight, there are much more suitable modern options.

I have to agree with everything you said. I have a beautiful P232 SS with the black rubber Hogue grips. I will never sell it, but I will never carry it either. I did actually put it on my permit as my "small" pistol, but the weight and size put it very close to my EDC P239/40 SAS. I ended up getting an LCP to take its place on my permit. It's a work of art, especially in stainless, but as a carry pistol, there are so many others that make more sense.

Sacrifice for beauty! Its like my Sig P229 Stainless Elite 40 in the Winter. I could carry a Glock 19 but why?

Grips are Hogue G10 Piranha. The Piranha is not as gripy as the G10 checkered offered by Hogue. They have a good bite when you grasp the gun, but will not rub you raw like the checkered.

Very true. Former owner of the Beretta 85f in stainless, I had no need for it but really regret selling it.

As an inherited owner of the Sig 232 in stainless, I don't have much use for it and sits in the safe.

As an owner of the Walther PPK in stainless, I have "not much" use for it (smaller in package from the above though).

Now if I would have kept the 85f, I would have had a completely happy, stainless family of unused 380s

I recently picked up a P230 and had the night sights replaced, added a set of used Hogues, and a cheap cerakote on the upper. The slide scratches my hand but just enough to let me know its there. With the new grips, it points and feels much better.
