I rate that a very special gift. Honestly I just don't know if I'd shoot it. Now the EDC X9 different story, and obviously different platform. Either way I would cherish a gift like that from my folks.

Well I don't think I'd kick any Wilson Supergrade out of bed for being BBQ...but their BBQ gun would be my absolute last choice of all the guns in their stable. I can appreciate the talent that goes into engraving but most engraving just isn't my taste. And I do love me the beauty of a completely blank slide. YMMV.

So... a firearm like that I would feel like I’m hurting it’s feelings not taking it out.

Just took it out with some friends that essentially have never shot before. They rented Glocks and I helped them with the four rules, aiming, etc. I offered for them to shoot mine instead of their. They liked the Wilson but didn’t really love it. For me it was amazing. I’ll do a full write up if anyone can recommend what to write (I’ve never written up a handgun).

I totally get that some do not like the engraving but I have a couple of pistols that are plain - I don’t need another plain one - and I’d like one that says “wow.” I think it’s gorgeous.

When I used proper technique I could reliably get one ragged hole between 5-10 yards. I think I’m reasonably good - definitely not great, but definitely not bad.

The gun was a JOY to shoot.

The magwell ... I never want a gun without a magwell now! I just put the magazine somewhere near it and it sucks it right up!

And in terms of keeping it pretty ... I think Mr Wilson would cry if I only took it out for special occasions. I plan to shoot the heck out of it!
