Will 10-8 rear sight fit MC Operator?

I want a ledge type sight on my MC Operator, but even once fitted, the Harrison Novak rear as well as the Trijicon HD rear sat tilted in my dovetail. There was a slight gap towards the back of the dovetail vs the front of the dovetail.

Will the 10-8 rear sight fit into the dovetail? I'm growing increasingly frustrated with this pistol trying to find a set of sights I'm happy with. It's like the rear dovetail is just slightly out of spec from being a true Novak.

Sounds like the dovetail wasn't cut correctly as opposed to the sights being off.

If this is true, you'll never find a sight that will fit the dovetail the way it is supposed to

I've read through various sources that Springfield slightly changes their dimensions as of recently to be a proprietary cut. If so, I'm half tempted to take a 65 degree finishing file and ensure the exact angles.

That's awesome! Did the 10-8 sights fit with minimal fitting? I had a .375 stock rear sight but it was shooting at a 6-o clock hold which I don't like. If I went to a .325 would I Shoot POA/POI? My front sight is .180.

I had the gunsmith at The Shootist in Murrieta install them. It shoots POA/POI. I also used a Dawson FO front, also .180" tall, .125" width

Did they stock the sights, or did you bring them in?

I purchased both from their respective websites.

Got the .375 10-8 sight and was so impatient I had it overnighted. Fit like a glove and I love the sight picture with the deep U-notch.

Sometimes they will go in, other times you may need to fit them.

If I had the tooling or competency to checker the front strap, I'd love to....

...but alas I do not and I'm not willing to sacrifice my pistol for 6-12 months to send it out.

The 10-8 sights are real nice. I use mine with a fiber front. U just have to decide if you want a .140 rear opening or .156. I use a .140 with a .115 thickness fiber optic or .125 thick night site. Usually I pair it with a .185 front sight.
