Got a question, I have a cousin whos out of state and he's selling me his g19 gen3 but its a custom g19, means the slide and barrel is not the original stock one, can it be legal to send it here in CA FFL? thanks

As long as the barrel isn't threaded and the frame is on roster, you are good to go.

Gun is not CA Roster gun and cannot be sent in for transfer as it is no longer on roster.

Say the ca buyer had a stock g19 slide and barrel, could he buy the frame off his buddy to be assembled together once the ffl receives the out of state frame?

Yeah i didnt think theres anything wrong with what i specifically proposed but a bone stock lower is very unlikely like you pointed out

I've seen new Agency Arms full builds for sale at gun store down the road from Agency. Seems it's more the model than what's been done to it.

OMG so much FUD. When they run that DROS is going to say GLOCK GEN 3. No aftermarket stuff is going to effect that. This is not the same as the manufacturer making changes. Now if the FFL does not want to risk it then that is there prerogative but you can get ZEV, Salient and Agency arms gen 3s here in cali just like you can get your cuz's Glock.

Finding an FFL who doesn't know the law, doesn't care about the law or is willing to not follow the law isn't hard.

It is not FUD, those guns are absolutely not legal to be DROSed in CA as a Gen 3 Glock. The FFL will lose their license when, not if, the DOJ finds out.

Idk about aftermarket modifications , OP indicate Gen 3 , but not all gen3's are in roster , right ? I remember there were different color frames werent on roster at some point .

So a used Glock 19 cannot legally be PPT'd with an aftermarket trigger, an extended slide release, or even an extended mag release?

Or is this only the case because the seller is out of state?
