    Selling on Calguns

I would like to sell some firearms that I've collected over the years. Can someone direct me to the rules? Some are not registered because they're over 30 yrs old. Does this effect the sale? How do I upload pics to this website? What does 'Bump' mean? Any help would be appreciated.

ok. Bump is imply adding a post to put yours at the top of the page, you can do this one time a day. IF they are yours, you should be fine, so long as the guns do not show up stolen. There are posted rules in the for sale section.

Bump is shorthand for bumping a thread, or moving it back to the top of the forum. You are allowed to bump your sale threads once a day.

Even if the gun isn't registered, you would just go to the FFL and fill out the seller portion of the form that the FFL will give you. Won't affect the sale.

You can attach pictures by clicking on the paperclip icon.
Or upload your pictures to a third party hosting site and then copy and paste a link to it in your post. I use imgur.

You are allowed 5 handgun transactions per year, but multiple handguns can be sold in one transaction.

I wouldn't sweat this too much if you are just getting rid of your belongings.

This law is to dissuade people from running an unlicensed FFL of sorts.

                    This will help.

Before the CalGuns police show up to crucify me on this,
Just know that guy that is speaking to this point in the 2nd post of the link I attached is the head of Calguns Foundation.
Pretty sure he has an appropriate take on this point.

Confirming an individual can have unlimited amount of transfers into their name but can only transfer 5 handguns out of their name a year? Correct?

No. Five transactions, with an unlimited amount within the same transaction. Such as 1 guy buying 15 pistols all at once, or selling the entire collection to a gunshop, etc. Also, as mentioned in post #10, even the 5 transactions isn't a firm limit.

O okay, I pretty sure I did more than five last year and this year. That's why I was confused about it. Will they not release the firearm if you've already done 5 transactions?

when did this happen? I thought it was 1-in-30? or is this sales only to avoid looking like a dealer?
Wish I was rich instead of so damn good looking.

This doesn't apply to buying, you can buy as many private party transfer handguns as you want. It applies to the seller but as stated above it's to detour people from being unlicensed FFL's. there's plenty of people on here that are selling more than 5 a year. Your question comes up often and I've never seen someone say they've gottten in trouble for it.
