    Gun Transfer Question

    My wife's friend's father recently passed away and left her a S&W 357 he purchased in 1985. He husband doesn't want a gun in the house and she asked how to donate it. Well, I'm going to help her out and take it off her hands. How can I do this? Does she have to transfer it into her name and then to me? Thanks for the help.

    BTW. I haven't found out what model the gun is.

      Firearm was transfered to her as an operation of law (form submitted to DOJ) then into your name (PPT).
