Sweet, the 220 is next on my handgun list, but I haven't gone through my ten day period on my 229 yet!

Nice!!!!! I have a 220ST and absolutely love the thing. SAO on a 220 looks interesting, let me know how it shoots.Comment

Kinda "Duh....." on my part.
Good info. Now I've got to work on getting the gf to model the guns for me..... And I'll be all set.Last edited by m1371; 09-11-2006, 6:30 AM.Learning without thought is labor lost, thought without learning is perilous. -FoamyComment

Ken,
So when you say "no issues with the gun", does that mean that you don't have the safety problem that others have reported with the first runs of P220 SAO's? This is what is holding me back from buying one just like yours.
Great pics as usual, but I have to say, I wish you'd buy more high end 1911's so I could see you take pics of some more Wilsons, Baers, a Springer PRO, and maybe a Nighthawk or two(and no, I'm not volunteering to fund the pictorials!)

Whoa, that's beautiful.
Damn, I want one.
Might have to defer the S&W 1911Sc (4" Scandium Commander-sized 1911 w/external extractor)...

I took this pistol to the Reed's Indoor Range yesterday evening, as planned, and put 100 rounds through it. First and foremost, it was flawless. Second, I really like the SAO trigger. Weight-wise, it's like the SA of the SA/DA P220, but the reset is shorter. While I need to perform more dry-firing to build up muscle memory, it was shooting well for me regardless. Recoil was a tad sharper than my P220STs, but then again, they're soft-shootin' shootin' irons due to the heft of the all-stainless construction.Comment

Congratulations on your latest aquisition, Dr. Lunde! I've been thinking about getting a P220 Carry for a while now.
Is the grip radius basically the same as the P220? Would you compare the overall size of the P220 carry it to a P229?
I like that the grips have a more aggressive texture than the regular P220 grips. Once again, congratulations!Comment
