Meaning, well it looks like a rifle but it's not really a rifle - it's only a pistol temporarily put together like a rifle .....

Every time I read one of these threads I end up buying another T/C barrel. No one makes one for the 458 SOCOM, do they?

HMMMMM ? You look into SSK Industries ? they got one in 458 Win Mag ? And list a 416 , you could get one there made just have to watch the pressure.
These are of course the Encore version .

458win mag 53,000 cup pressure , 458 socom 35,000 cup. Looks like you might get one made, if you can find an original reamer .

I've looked at SSK, Bullberry too. I've always leaned toward MGM. At the Reno show many years back they gave me an 8mm Mauser barrel, have helped me on a few other deals. They offer the 458 too, but I have a Ruger No1 and am content with that. I hear the rebated rim on the SOCOM causes an extraction reliability issue and there may be a rimmed version out there just for the T/C.

The 25s always do well for me - 25.35 Win, 257 Roberts and the Weatherby. Maybe it's time for the 250 Savage
