Smith & Wesson Shield 10 round magazines?

The Shield is currently Smith's most popular gun. I'd love a ten round magazine for my 40 cal Shield. I have the Hyve 8 round extension piece, which I think looks pretty cool, and has thus far performed exceptionally well. Also added the new Houge grip, and upgraded to the HiVis colored sights which really speeds up target acquisition.

Does anyone have their ear to the ground on any companies working on a 10 rounder???

This is the only option I'm aware of. There is a review thread that another calgunner did.

I'm seeing that Proamag make a 9 rounder for the 40 cal Shield, but every review I've read is horrible...

I have a shield 9 with hyve extensions and was told by someone that you can put magguts inside a hyve and get 11rds. Needless to I didn't try it but I imagine a hyve with magguts might get you the 10rds of 40 that you are looking for. good luck.

Promag makes them but I have no info regarding reliability. Check eBay.

Check eBay for the reliability of Promags?

If eBay can't even make a single key to hit on my keyboard that automatically makes me money on the internet, then how can I rely on the credibility of there magazine range reports?

I can across the product listing on cheaperthandirt, and there were 8 or 9 reviews- every one was bad with a one star rating. Some of those rating the mag said they wish they had the option to rate the mag as zero stars because they functioned so poorly.

Has anyone tried this with the 40? Even if it only fit 9 and fed reliably, I'd be stoked.

I meant to convey that they are available for purchase on eBay.

I have a pair of Hyves for my 9mm Shield. Love em. They drop free pretty nicely with the extra weight at the bottom

                          Not everything.

The Pro Mag 10 round 9mm Colt AR mags are very good. They work better than the ASC mags. The ASC 10 round mags actually hold 11 rounds - making them illegal to sell in California. I emailed ASC a year or two ago about it, but they don't seem to care.

Tangential to the Shield discussion, but here you go...

Making the modification permanent is a rabbit hole of an argument on this site, but I would say at the very least epoxying the block to the locking plate is a good idea. This should be taking place outside of California, or by an exempt/permitted person, as the gun was introduced after 2000.
