Glock 19 or cz p-01 for a range toy?

I cannot get a ccw where I currently live so this would be more about something for the range. And possibly used as a backup home defense weapon.

I don't currently own anything full sized or even medium in 9mm. I'd also consider a 9mm rifle such as a Beretta storm cx4 storm or a ar-15 in 9mm caliber.

Depends on your preference, no can answer that for you, both are great guns... Just two completely different styles. Polymer striker fired vs alloy hammer da/sa with decocker.

I think you should buy both but if I had only one option it would be a P01 just because Glocks don't fit my hands well without customization, and the P01 is an awesome gun

Get a CZ SP-01, CZ Tactical Sport or a Glock 34 if you want a range toy.

Out of all these 3 guns and the 2 that you mentioned, only the SP-01 comes with night sights so that is better for a night stand gun. Also has a rail so you can mount a flashlight too.

Rent them both at the range to see which one you like more. I did and ended up with the P-01.

Love my CGW P-01.. but my G19 sure gets carried quite a bit, but I love the P01 at the range. I'm always showing/handing off the P-01. The 19 is just a workhorse that I never worry about.

That said... if you won't send the P-01 to CGW, get the 19 and spend the rest on ammo

^^^ Exactly. All things considered, I feel the G19 is the best handgun made period. But it's not what I would consider a range toy, it's a tool for getting things done.

P01 was my First purchase. Still have it and still love it over my other pistols. I'm more confident and more accurate with this than any other pistol. Best fit on the hand that ive found.

You will appreciate the lighter weight of the Glock, and the smoother more comfortable grip of the P01.
