    Colt diamondback price?

I have a friend that wants me to post his colt diamondback. He is a bit older and think computers are a waste of time. (Unless you want to sell a gun on calguns).
It's 2.5 inch. I told him $ 1900 might be about right. It has no box. Gun has an after market grip. One spot the size of a No2 pencil tip missing the bluing. It looks like a rub mark from the original grip. The cylinder has a rub mark but, not through the bluing. Unknown round count.
He wants as much as possible. I don't want to post it at $4000 or some crazy price. I want to post it at a fair price. I went over things like if he wants it to sell fast run it with a low price. It's not a python he won't get 4000 to 6000 for it. Any imput before I post it in the for sale section would be appreciated!
    Thank you for your imput

$1,900 with aftermarket grips, visible wear, unknown round count and no case candy? I think it's optimistic, pythons in similar condition go for just a bit more.

Probably really a cool gun, I like guns that can be shot... but shooter grade stuff takes a pretty good hit in the market.
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

Price you quote might be a bit steep! I passed on a 4" in similar condition with factory grips for $1,250. But on this forum you never know!!!! The aftermarket grips bring it down - BUT it is a 2.5 - soooooo ???

I think a minty 2-1/2 would fetch $1,800 fairly easy...so maybe your $1,900 starting point isn't that far off.

About 3 months ago, I bought a mint 2.5" blue Diamondback, with box and OEM grips, for $2300.

2.5" is very tough to get in Cali, especially mint/unfired.....you CANNOT transfer a 2.5" from out-of-state unless it's a C&R over 50 years old....good luck with that find They won't come around often on a PPT in Cali
