    P10c at the range today

I finally got to shoot the P10 today at the range, and all I have to say it is an amazing gun.

Shot my M&P's first then cleared 3 magazines with the P10c and it is a tack driver!!

I hit my first magazine dump at 7 yards and then went out to 10, 15 and 20. Amazed by the trigger and the ergos. Grip is really textured and feels perfect. sights are just ok, Glow in the dark white dot... not great but not bad either. I hope TFX's come out soon.

I love my M&P's and have shot many glocks but I this was seriously an amazing trigger coupled with great ergos. Blew the VP9 & PPQ out of the water.

Anyways just thought I would share my experience in case anyone was wondering. It is seriously as good as I expected and more. This will be my range gun every time I go and replace my edc.

glad you love it. I just can't bring myself to get excited about this one though. the steel frame is my favorite part of my czs.

I have an SP01 and I love it but this is the perfect blend of what I love about CZ ergos and a polymer frame. Trigger is really something else. I plan on using this gun for my pistol training classes and might even replace my EDC. The size is bigger than my shield though.

Congrats on the new gun! People have complained about the aggresiveness of the grip texture. Did you feel it that way?

Nice to see some highly sought after CZs getting into Calgunners hands!

Once the hype, and the premium it causes, dies down, I might pick one up, especially when the P10f model is out.

Yes the grip is very aggressive but not near as the same as M&P 2.0 which has a very deep grip texture, I only held it in the gun shop at the leo counter... I never shot it.

The P10c is more like the RTF2 Glock which has the little textured bumps instead of the heavy stipple like a cheesegrater. I may get a rubber Talon grip if it gets really bad, I'll see after a few hours of shooting this week.

a P10F would be an amazing gun if it does actually come out!! I would buy it in a heartbeat... especially after shooting the P10c

Thanks for the quick report. Please explain how it blows the PPQ and VP9 out of the water.

            Is the ergo better?

            Is the trigger better?

            Is it more accurate?

It's an opinion so I'm not sure if you and I would agree on that but from my experience shooting them that was my impression. I liked the ppq trigger but I did not like how it rode so high. It was a high bore and had lots of muzzle flip.

VP9 is a really nice gun that I thoroughly enjoyed shooting as well. The trigger was close to the PPQ but not quite as good. Ergos were better but rode a bit lower and the muzzle flip was less felt. Still more than a Glock or M&P though.

Accuracy was awesome. I would need to do a side by side to say it is more accurate than the VP9 or PPQ .... All I remember is that I shot the VP9 extremely well and it was up until today one of the most accurate pistols I have ever shot. I believe the ergos and trigger really played well with that aspect.

Mind you I have not shot them all side my side nor am I Larry Vickers so I am only giving my opinion and most people will have differences of style and what they prefer.

P-10 was nice and low with minimal muzzle flip and a great trigger all while fitting perfectly in my hand and being extremely accurate.the trigger reset is like the pyramid trigger on a Glock, super short reset and very responsive. Bit heavier than a pyramid but thats fine.

I have been looking for a new gun that was better than a g19/17 with a similar trigger to ppq but didn't ride so high. So maybe that's why I preferred it. I have not shot the M&P 2.0 yet so perhaps that will better. I guess I'll have to wait to find out.

I have one. I like the gun but I feel CZ shipped an unfinished gun. The slide release is difficult to use to drop the slide. Mag release is gritty and requires a large amount of effort to use on a full mag.

Trigger and reset are better than PPQ and VP9. CGW already has parts in the works to fix the slide release and make the trigger better.

I'd say the texture is more like a gen4 but a tad more aggressive and nothing like RTF2.

I agree that the magazine release is a bit hard to push. I would love an extended version or a cgw version. The slide release seemed fine on my fun. It was a bit quick to engage but most new guns have a sticky slide release/stop at first. I assumed it would work itself in in time.

I can't believe they used a plastic guide rod though!! I would like to replace that ASAP.

I plan on shooting the crap out of it for now. I will be looking for aftermarket parts in time but for now I am just enjoying the gun as it is. The only thing I really feel would benefit dramatically would be some better sights and metal guide rod.. I'm a huge fan on TFX pro sights.

Great first impressions, but I can't be the only one who had to do a search to see what the heck a P10C was.

So it looks like CZ decided to build a Glock, with a better trigger and some re-shaping of the grip area? Not my cuppa, but nice to see some improved designs out there, that don't need a bunch of aftermarket improvements. Is this one closer to G19 size or G17 size?

With the popularity of the P-09 and P-07 as their second wave of poly CZs, Phantom SP-01 being the first, it made sense to produce a striker fired polymer with the CZ ergos. Sounds like this is a keeper. Now get rid of the damn roster!

A Glock 17 gen 3 guide rod fits perfectly.

Good looking out, I was just doing some research and it appears a P07 guide rod fits as well. G17 is probably cheaper and easier to find in stock though.

I've always wanted to shoot a phantom and p07, Wouldn't mind a p07 just for the smaller frame and hammer. I was under the impression the trigger is more like a sig though... Maybe I'll get to shoot one someday.
