I'd get the Wheeler if I could talk some of my cheap arse shooting buddies to pitch in. You know once I get one they will want to use it.

I up'd that to cigars and single malt scotch a while back. Some of them don't bother me any more. The ones that do are welcome.

I tried quite a few affordable pushers, had a real problem shelling out the dollars for the higher dollar versions. But as the collection grew, and having to get multiple adaptors and deal with cranking down slides to avoid canting from an support rail, it became clear I wasnt saving anything.

The wheeler is a great copy of the MGW pro, following many of its usable features. But the side supports where not intended as primary support. It lacks holding the slide by the rails at the base. For really stubborn sights, you have to apply more pressure and you risk a few things. No doubt it works fine for many applications, but I'd suggest really considering not skimping on this type of tool if you have a lot of different platforms and looking at the MGW pro.

Seems expensive at first glance. You'll possibly be annoyed by having to buy $15 dollar model specific rail adapters. But when you use it, it no longer bothers you at all.

+1 on the wheeler makes quick work on all my pistols

I just slap the slide and the sight in the freezer for 30 minutes pre-lubed and the add more lube and judiciously hammer the sight with brass or delrin punches. If you are careful you can avoid any marring.

I just could never get myself to shell out the nearly 100 bucks for decent pushers.

I use a Reading magazine on each side of slide spine up place magazines and slide in vice and aluminum punch or aluminum bar stock to tap the Sights out . I use a Caliper to measure off each side of the slide set the sight dead center when going back in lots of pistols done no problems . No marks or marring .

Beretta sights

I had what I thought was s great pusher. A simple little beast from a company called Fisher Solutions. It is the one featured in the link by Hhsohn above. But recently I tried to use it on the oddly shaped slide of a Beretta 92 and it just won't clamp down on the slide. Does anyone know of a sight pusher that will work for Beretta 92/96 series pistols?

I also recommend the MGW Sight Pro if you have multiple handguns from different manufacturers or plan on getting multiples. Buy once, cry once. Best universal sight tool on the market, hands down.

MGW Pro. Doesn't look like some HS metal shop project. Expensive but no broken sights, scratched or damaged slides. Take it with you to the range for real time sight adjustment.

Looks like you can with the proper "shoe" to mount the slide.
