U notch rear sights for Glock

Looking for some U notch rear sights for the Glock (Gen 3 small frame, ex 17, 19, etc).

So far I see the Trijicon HD rear sights, Wilson/Vickers Battlesight, and the 10-8 Performance sights. I plan on pairing them with a Trijicon HD front or Ameriglo ProGlo front (both fronts come in multiple heights) . My general preference is for a figure 8 sight, 1 normal/bigger dot front, 1 small dot in the rear.

    - Trijicon - Tried it briefly and liked it, but don't like 3 dot sights (2 on rear).
    - 10-8 - Plain black rear sights only.
    - Wilson/Vickers - Only mfg with 1 dot on rear U notch. Don't like how the serrations on the rear stop around the U notch. Also the notch may be too narrow at .145" to use one of these big dot type sights (Trijicon is at .169 and 10-8 is at .156 and specifically stating their .14 rear is too narrow).

Does anyone have any experience with multiples ones of these sights and have a preference for one or the other?

I have a pair of Trijicon HDs on my 43 but I prefer the Heinie Straight 8s that are on my 19. I didn't know Heinie made them for the 43 at the time I bought the Trijicons.

Trijicon HDs should be blacked out in the rear except for when its really dark and the tritium kicks in.

I have a ProGlo .140"W/.220"H front with a 10-8 .156" rear and have been very happy with it overall. The orange ring is very easy to pick up in the daytime and the tritium center works well in low-light. The rear U-notch is fast.

The sights are extremely fast and easy to line up for close range targets but the front sight is a bit too fat for anything much further.

I recently learned about the Trijicon HD XR's and at .122" wide, combined with a 10-8 .140" rear, that might be the perfect setup IMO. I'll probably try it next.

I tried UNotch and did not like them very much. If you can you should try them before buying.

Out of the UNotch, I like the Vickers.

Personally I love the all black Defoors.

I was about to recommend the Vickers also. They have a U notch and the figure 8 night sights.

Don't forget about Warren offerings for Glock:

SKD stocks only the best tactical gear & ships FAST for $5 flat :: Warren Tactical Sights, Warren Tactical Sevigny Competition Sight, Warren Tactic ...

I don't get it from here, but this page shows a good variety of them, U-notch or not. Got them on a Glock as well as a 1911. These days if I stick with plain back sight with either a plain front, or night dot front.

Defoors on my 17 and Hackathorn on my 32. More light on the sides of the front post compared to the stock sights. My old eyes are not liking all black front anymore and it blends in too much with those shoot n c tagets.

HopetonBrown, which sights do you like?

                    Thanks for the suggestions.

                    Dawson Precision says:

                    Regular size fits Glock G17/19/20/21/22/23/26/27/29/30/31/34/35/36/37/41

Full size and compacts have different widths of dovetails does this mean I need to shave it down to fit the compact? No 32 listed. Its the same as a 19 and 23 right?

Ok just looked at my 17 and 32 I thought the dovetail width was different between them but are the same.

I love the defoors (prefer all black but like the front site with tritum too), but as I get older I can see eventually needing a fiber optic front

I have the Wilson Combat sights on my G17 Vickers and they work very well.
