Breaking in a new SA Pro

Decided to enlist the Pro instead of keeping the her an unfired safe queen.

Flicked 120 rounds down range and was very impressed with the accuracy. I'm a novice but it feels good when you can hit body mass with every shot at 25yds w/o really trying.

Loved everything about it minus the trigger. The ridges on the trigger shoe seem more aggressive than the front strap. Also, Cajun Gun Works has spoiled me. I like a lighter pull. Somewhere around 3lbs is perfect and the Pro seems to be 4.5-5lbs - by feel only and not actually measured.

No FTF or FTE.

I was very surprised at how dirty Blazer Brass was after 120 rounds.

Overall it's a keeper. Just needs an O'Hara trigger job.

Congratz!!! That's a great gun!!! Keep shooting it. The trigger may lighten up on it's own.

Only 120 rounds? Come on man... you gotta get with the program! LOL!

Oh, and get a Dillon 650 set up for 45 ACP and start reloading. You'll be glad you did (especially after the first of 2018). But, if you've got the cash for it now, stock up since online ammo is really cheap right now. Ammo is the name of the game right now.

XDJyo thanks! With 2 kids and a cell phone that rings all the time, I can't be trusted at a reloading bench. I'd be that guy, the one complaining about my gun blowing up, and swearing it wasn't a double load.

There are a lot of ways you can screw up reloading, but the Dillon 650 can take a lot of the mistakes out of the equation. I'm not saying it's idiot proof, but it has certain functions built into it to mitigate it.
