Sig Over Glock?.... Not So Fast.

Interesting read, and crazy that a company of that size and prominent in the market took that long to get the solution done.

That's just it. They never found a solution. New Jersey did by purchasing Glock 17's. That's the part that got me the most. They don't seem capable of fixing it. If it were a simple case of defective parts, and they rectified the problem by identifying and replacing them, then all is well and good. That can happen to any manufacturer of durable goods. How many motor vehicles get recalled and fixed every year? This however, seems like more of a case of, "Cash For Clunkers".If common sense was so common, why don't liberals possess any?Comment

Another thing that got me was the cost of the holsters. $865,000.00 for 3,000 holsters divides out to $288.33 per holster. Nowhere near the $10K toilet seat, but enough to question, that's for sure. In Sig's defense, they shouldn't get stuck with that one. Do any of these people in government, who have the financial power to procure this equipment, possess a single ounce of common sense? If common sense was so common, why don't liberals possess any?Comment

I'm glad I got my P229 back in 2009. I hear that the older batches are way more consistent in reliability compared to the current production, which can be hit or miss.Originally posted by G. What? the oft vaunted Sig's aren't better and more reliable than Glocks? That's just it.

How can this be? This changes everything!
What happens next, CZ fanboys buying Glocks?
Oh the horror...

Not with Ron Cohen at the helm it's not. He ruined Kimber's rep when he was in charge there by going with sub-par parts from bottom rung suppliers, and he's doing the same thing at Sig; increasing profits by skimping on quality.Last edited by Dimitri A.; 06-07-2017, 9:26 AM.Comment
