PAP M92 Questions

So I've recently become very interested in making a M92 kinda-Krink clone, but I've run into a few problems.

First off, PAP M92s are apparently single shot only in California now.

Second, I can't find anythingregarding whether or not I need to file paperwork or something to convert the pistol to a rifle.

Lastly, I'm 19, so I can't even purchase the M92 to begin with.


So basically I need to know if it would be legal for a parent to purchase the M92, convert it to a rifle (pinned and welded muzzle brake + fixed stock + pistol grip wrap), reactivate the gas system to make it semi automatic again, and then transfer it to me as a rifle.

I know it's a tall order, and I really would appreciate any advice from anyone who knows better than a 19 year old.

Just buy a N-Pap or an O-Pap rifle. Why bother starting with a pistol and going through all the trouble and expense of converting it to a rifle? Once you convert a pistol to a rifle, you can't go back anyways.

Maybe talk to audiophil or someone like that. They might be able to sell you the finished rifle you want. Also I think Atlantic firearms has one listed.

It looks like you're thinking about reverting back to pistol once you own it - you can't do that legally.

If you want a rifle, get a rifle. If you want a pistol, you can purchase it when you're 21. A pistol doesn't have to be "single shot" once you own it, but your options are somewhat limited in how you can configure it post the new AW ban.
