    Mec-Gar Magazines

    I've ordered some 10 round Mec-Gar magazines for my CZ 75 SP-01.

I remember reading somewhere that the dimple is what limits it to ten rounds, is this true? Is there anything else limiting it to ten rounds?

If I go to a free state, could I just drill the dimple and have a standard capacity magazine? Or would drilling the dimple cause any issues?

They are good to go, no function issues at all. It is essentially a factory mag. I actually like these better than the stock CZ 10 rounders with the half plastic bottoms.

If you drill the dimple in a free state, I think you will be ok as long as the hole isnt too big which could lead to deformation in the body.

If you move to a free state just sell the magazines off here and use the money to buy new ones when you settle down

Less expensive to drill the dimple.

Does your mag have a long plastic block and if removed would make your mag spring too short? If it does just sell the mags in this state and buy new ones when you get to your destination. Which gun will you reach for if you end up needing one on your way to your free state?

Yes. Only difference between these and the standard mags is the dimple. Follower and spring are the same.

I had some for a P95. Italian made. Worked as well as the Ruger ones. Would buy again.
