Is that a gunsmith in CA that does hard chroming? I'd like to have my Series 80 hard chromed in black.

All the hard chrome I've ever seen is "cool silverish" finish versus "warmer sliverish" of electroless nickel.
Are you talking about Nitron, DLC, Tuffride QPQ, or something like that?
Update: Just looked up "Black Chrome" and it's listed as a semi-hard coating. Better than nothing but no where near the equal to industrial hard chrome for wear and abrasion resistance.Last edited by buffybuster; 02-22-2009, 7:27 PM.Luck favors the prepared.
