Vp9sk thought it would be smaller.

Just picked this up and thought it would be more along the size of an g26 but it's more the size of a g19. Overall it's not to bad so far.

I was going to get one until I realized that it is nearly the same size as the 19 with the capacity of the 26, that is unacceptable to me. If it's going to be almost the same size as a 19 it better have more than two thirds the capacity. I love the VP9 so I was pretty disappointed.

It's not to bad. I like different sizes of back straps and grip pads.

I went through the same thing with my G26, I bought it to primary carry but it just felt like a brick. I ended up getting a Walther pps M2 and that 1/4" made a lot of difference to me and I shoot it as good as my full size guns. I also carry a G42 but the PPS gets the most work.

Don't get me wrong the VP9 and the SK are both worlds better than any Glock in terms of ergonomics.

I did hear they would be introducing a 13rd mag for the SK later this year so that might ease my criticism of it.

sometimes we live with mag capacity and relative size of pistol simply because we love the gun. my favorite semi-auto is the w german Sig Sauer P225 that runs a mere 8 rounds of 9mm in it's factory magazine and is not all that much smaller than it's larger brethren, yet the size difference and ergonomics are worlds away for me.

The VP9 is the size of a G17. The P30SK is the size of a G19. The VP9Sk is apparently the same size as the P30SK. Therefore, by the transitive property, nobody should be surprised.

No new handgun will ever be on the CA roster. Ever. Period. Full stop.

Got that. Just wondering how a person in CA gets their hands on an off-roster pistol?
