    CZ75B SA trigger reset question

    Here's a dumb question for you CZ DIY'ers;

    What do I have to modify in order for my CZ to create a "positive reset" after I fire my handgun?

    I've put so many rounds through it that I've grown accustomed to knowing when my CZ actually resets but I'd like to have it since I'm used to it in other handguns. I've also let others shoot it and I've seen them flinch when they pull the trigger (without knowing if the trigger itself was reset or not).

    Trigger pull is awesome in case you're all wondering. It's light, consistent, and breaks with ease. No grit, no mush.

    If you are running a CGW reduced power Trigger Return Spring you can swap the Factory TRS back in. The factory CZ TRS can make the reset feel more positive. This will also increase the SA pull weight marginally.

    Edit: After looking at the picture again, it looks like the factory trigger pin is still installed, it seams that you may be running the factory TRS. What work do you have done to your CZ?

    Edit2: Dag nabbit, somehow it failed to include the trigger bar spring. That is what i get for posting while distracted. My bad.

      The "tactile" feel of the SA reset is dictated by the amount of "up" tension on the #34 trigger bar support spring.

      More tension = sharper reset
      Less tension = softer reset

      Just that simple.

          Thanks for the info and glad to see schmeky posting here on this forum.

          Not to hijack the thread but, a while back I went on the CZ forum to ask a couple of questions. Member folks are nice but It looks like an abandoned site with not so helpful and a nasty mod. Two posts and I said good by. I do not need no stinking cz forum where they delete your post instead of answering a question about a 75b sights.

            You also might consider swapping the trigger out to one of the few variations (usually flat) that has the pre and over travel adjustments. While you're in there, delete the FPB, add the spacer, install a new TRS, and get the more easily removable trigger pin. I actually find the reset on my 75 SA to be very positive. With the trigger upgrade you can take nearly all of the take up out of it to where it is engaging the sear as soon as you start squeezing. There's no mistaking where it resets because it's exactly at the end of the return point.

              Not sure on the mods exactly; I bought it used and have yet to take it apart to see all that's replaced.

              I should be able to figure it out by figuring out all the factory parts that aren't in it.

                Haha, totally understand! The mods I mentioned are easily done at home if you have the basic tools and are mechanically gifted.

                    I had a similar question about my CZ TSO and as always, David is the man. Thank you!
