    A CZ Technicolor Rainbow

Trying to find what works best on my CZ75 SA, from 11#-16# recoil springs. The 12# seems to work best with a 13# hammer spring. Let me hear what others are running?

All depends on the load you are using . . .
    WTB : Bren Ten - WTB : Wildey 45 & 475 Magnum

So far I have put 115gr FMJ & HPs, 124gr FMJ & HPs and 148gr HPs with no issues. I just want to make sure that being that light or going even lighter wont harm anything. Right now it doesnt look like the slide is hitting the frame so I may just keep it where its at but I do have an 11# recoil spring that I may just try out to see what it does.

If you are shooting regular, off the shelf ammo just stick to the stock recoil spring. Lighter/heavier springs are for those who reload for a specific purpose. If you reload a super soft recoil round, it wont cycle the slide with the stock recoil spring. So that is when you put in a light recoil spring. Making hot and heavy rounds at max fps? Put in a heavy recoil spring to absorb that excessive slide energy. The worst that can happen from using a light recoil spring in relation to the round's fps is that you cause excessive wear on your gun. The least is more felt recoil because the recoil spring isnt strong enough and the slide is slamming back into the frame. The hammer spring affects the firing pin so a reduced hammer spring COULD result in certain types of primers not going off. Which is why people usually get an extended firing pin to go along with a reduced hammer spring.

The gun already has a barrel bushing, sear spacer, adjustable sear, longer shadow slide stop, SAO trigger, short reset system and trigger spring

Shooting standard (Nato) ammo, I'd go a couple, may be 3 lbs heavier than factory spring (for all guns) if I feel the slide is slamming the frame and/or I want to feel a little less recoil from that particular gun/frame. I do not see a reason to go lighter than factory recoil spring unless you are tuning to hand loads or want a faster slide.
What do you want to do that the factory setting is failing in?

Sounds like I need to up the weight if im using standard loads. I put the 14# spring back in for the standard loads.
I just ordered a case of 147gr FMJ to try out which will allow me to use the lighter spring without the slide slamming into the frame.

There is so much conflicting info online that I think I just got everything way out of whack. I have many springs to play with, so on my next range trip I can see what combo works best
