Glock Gen 5

Has anyone heard any news about the release of the Glock Gen 5? At shot show in January we asked Glock and they said to keep any eye out for them in a few months, it has been a few months.

That is the only "new release" I've heard about from Glock.

Well, they brought back the
Compensated models, which were a bust before. Maybe they just have a surplus of old C model slides and barrels so they added some front serrations, BOOM 💥 new model.

Since most people can not get a Gen 4 in CA. Why would I even consider a Gen 5?

As usual, they are building the excitement and squeezing everything they can out of the current generation. So whatever comes out this summer as a special run will be just that. Then if they decide to out the gen 5 it will happen only at the SHOT. if we start seeing them in a wild around October, November then next year shot show is the release date for new gen.

They need to keep the gen 3 for California, it's just too big of a market to drop.

For the rest of the country, they probably need to do something innovative because the competition has caught up.

But, maybe it's ok to stay where they are. Guns like the 1911 have staying power, and I'm sure the Gen 3 G19 will continue to keep sales going for them.

We're pretty isolated here due to the roster!
