    Which RMR?

I've been working on this nightmare project since Oct 2016 and I finally have the slide and everything good. I took the RMR from my ACOG to see how it work and sometimes it gets to dim. Now I'm looking to just put on another RMR. Which one should I get? This will be for an 4.5 XDm 9mm with a custom slide. Pics coming laters.

    Thanks!
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

I have the RM01 on my ACOG and I never found it too dim. In fact, I find it too bright sometimes so I cover the light sensor to make it more dim. But if I were in the market for another RMR, I would get the adjustable RM06.

That's because the RMR was never designed to take the abuse from a handgun . I k ow many internet ninjas here know better, but the truth hurts.

What's happening is the battery connection for your red dot. You can place a think rubber shim under the whole red dot. They sell them, that should help hold the battery more secure to the connectors or you can bend them a bit.

If you want a new one, I prefer the smallest MOA dot so I can see my targets

I am no Internet ninja, and have read quite a few threads where people were saying that their RMRs would flicker on and off or change brightness sporadically.

Being a stubborn mule that I am, I still got one. Rmr06 And put it on my 1911 in 45 acp. Not a single issue in about 600 rounds so far.

The only thing that bothers me is how dirty it gets.

Yes, I'm looking at getting the 06 now. The none adjustable seems to have issues. I wonder why?

No worries at all. I have about 5. 2 have issues and the other three don't. I was lucky enough to get them through Trijicon for testing and for a really affordable price.

One of the old models that JP used to make for them had issues like what you read about

Earlier gen? Improper installation? Bad design? Idk.

Have you any experience with other mini dots on pistols? I am thinking of putting a couple on a couple of guns. VV one is another I am considering.

I know UM Tactical has done a ton of testing using his mount. I like the Romeo from Sig and even the Burris Fastfire III. If money is an issue go Burris. I also really like Docter Optics, but for me to import them in and sell them I make pennies! I do really like their red dots though. The glass is good and they auto adjust

I have a RM06 on my Sig X5. It flickered after the first 100rd. I just bent the battery terminals and added some tape to help get a better contact. No issues thus far.

I will try to work on the terminals. I put a drop of silicon to push the battery in when I first got it. It stays on but just dims sometimes. Ive also had this on my rifle and the battery may just be going dead. I will work on it tonight.

If its a combat handgun and not a paper puncher, RM07 for the larger dot. heck, I would buy a 12-14 MOA RMR if they made one. Does someone really need a dot on a handgun that only covers 1.6 inch circle at 50 yards? 0.8 inch at 25 yards?

Its my fun gun but if it works out I would move it to my "life" gun.

I have an RM06 and it runs like a champ thus far only about 2500 rounds to date but haven't had a hiccup. It's my fun gun and never have I not had a smile while shooting steel plates with a red dot....
