Does canceling your DROS before the 10 day wait affect the 1 in 30 rule? Meaning will I be able to DROS a new handgun after I cancel the first DROS.TIA

Before yes, however the DOJ has been iffy on this lately. Law says one cannot submit an application to purchase more than 1 new handgun per 30 days.

If someone got submitted early the DOJ rejected the DROS but it did not reset their 30 days.

Recently however they reject the DROS and it resets their 30 days.

Since you actually submitted the application, even though it was rejected, it may or may not reset the 30 days.

So the answer is who the hell knows. DOJ isn't consistent on the matter. We have had both occur.
