Before spending money on another Springfield Armory product, read this and decide if you want to support the company:
Quoted from the article: "...Springfield Armory and Rock River’s decision to cut a deal on licensing in Illinois — enabling the antis’ desire to control FFL dealer sales — is a dangerous gamble..."Last edited by beanz2; 04-29-2017, 12:08 AM.sigpic

I'll bite. Before spending money on another Springfield Armory product, read this and decide if you want to support the company:
The root of the issue aren't those two gun manufacturers. It is the Illinois state government. They've the same issue as you guys in CA...they've allowed the politicians to become uncontrollable. The gun makers surely aren't helping the citizens but Illinois citizens were already screwed...that hasn't been considered a free stated in a LONG LONG time. Also, SA and RR could've moved out of state but didn't/couldn't (I understand that its a VERY non-trivial proces and it would've meant uprooting or letting go of staff, as well as uprooting their whole operation). Gun makers are out to make a profit...ALL of them. That's what all businesses do. All of them. Those gun makers that make CA compliant guns...they don't do that out of sympathy. If you think they're doing it because they care for you, you're high. They're doing it for profit. And no one complains about the fact that gun makers are feeding the system that makes the CA gun-limiting system work, but they'll complain about this Illinois deal instead.
The free states watch for such happenings and learn how to preempt such things when it tries to be applied in their states.
It's not like they cut a deal all on their lonesome. The Illinois government organized the whole thing and probably invested long term planning into this.Currently Carrying:

It is about as impressive as the XD subcompact...........It's not!
I have the XD 40 4" and it is probably my favorite gun and my competition gun. In small pistols, I have the XDs 45 3.3 and I just put an M&P 340 in jail, which is a 13.8 ounce 357 mag.
The pistol in the OP, with more weight, a stupid double/single trigger, and a hammer, doesn't seem like it would offer any advantages. He who dies with the most tools/toys wins

- DA/SA
- Less slide tension (for those that may have arthritis, for example)
- A manual safety
- No trigger safety
The above are good offerings.
As well, that extra weight will help tame recoil, especially considering how small the gun is.
I've a Mod.2 subcompact in 9mm. I'd thought it would be a handful. It is not. It shoots like a bigger gun. This XD-E will end up shooting similar.Currently Carrying:
