    1944 colt 38 police grips

Buying grips for this pistol is very confusing. The more you read up on them the more confusing it gets.
All i want is cheap repo original plastic grips. i know it is a medium frame I-E. I see grips for model C advertised ?. Is it simpler to just ask what does NOT fit my pistol
    THANKS

    NOTAPISTOL. See my sig.

    Check out https://www.vintagegungrips.com/shop...lice-revolver/
    Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

You're on the right track, colt 38 police official is a medium frame "e". I believe they also refer to the plastic injection molded stocks as Coltwood grips. Try searching for keyword Coltwood.
I see your swartz is as big as mine, now let's see how well you handle it

Kimber (grips) stocks with not fit your Colt revolver.
        Taurus stocks won't fit, thankfully.
        Star stocks won't fit.
        LLama stocks won't fit.
        RIA stocks won't fit.

Hope the list sort of narrows it down a bit.

Wish the extra grips that came with my 600 dollar RIA 1911 would fit . That RIA is like a Toyota lasts forever and never breaks down. any other brand is just wasting good money.

I don't think it's a waste of good money to insist an American built your firearm and was paid a fair wage for doing it...
            But that's just my opinion
            BUY AMERICAN
