I just got me an EMP I haven't shot it yet. But I put a remanfactured bullet in it to see if it will cycle and well the round got stuck. I tried using my Remington golden Sabre and they cycle well. Is there anything I should worry about like the barrel is a no go or is the EMP just a picky shooter?

I tried fiocchi and freedom in mine first and had issues with it picking up the next round and a couple stove pipes. Blazer brass ran well from the start so put a few hundred rounds of that through it with no problems. Out of curiosity I tried Lawman last time with no problems but forgot to try any of the ones that choked it when new to see if it had loosened up. When new atleast mine seamed to be picky but I really enjoy shooting it.

If you haven't field stripped it and cleaned/lubed it, do that first. Put a generous amount of oil on the rails and barrel and hit the range with 300 rounds or so. Shoot it. See what happens. Hand cycling rounds isn't the best test of a brand new gun.

Interesting. Have you tried changing the firing pin and spring to stock/standard parts?

Lube it and shoot it with factory ammo---run a couple of hundred rds thru it---then come to conclusions...

I've had mine for around 4 years about 1500 rounds through her and it cycles all the factory ammo I've tried.....never tried remanufactured. Like others have mentioned there's a break in period plus it's not the best test to just hand cycle a new gun. It'll smooth right on out with some range time! I'd take it out with factory ammo and hit the range she'll be just fine

Springfield 9mm 1911's(especially new) tend to get a 3 point jam if the cartridge is not within spec for size. Measure the ammo and compare with calipers if you can. If you cleared the jam- did you have a scratch on the brass shaped like a grin? I would also check to see if the reloads are getting any setback.

At this point that would be my guess. I like to start with new manufactured ammo even if I plan on using reman later on in hopes of more consistency. hard to tell untell you put some live rounds trough it and let it cycle the way it is meant to. As mentioned above give the railed a good wipe and apply a fair amount of lube. For whatever reason mine didn't like picking up the next round with those few tiles of ammo so having a round get stuck wasn't something I experienced. Unless something seems terribly wrong I would find something that chambers well and put some rounds of that through it and go from there.

Mines not new I traded my cz sp-01 for an emp but yea I think I gotta get new ammo I believe the remanufactured bullets are not within perfect specs.

Wow, you got a deal. EMP is $1200 pistol and the SP01 is $700.

Springfield won't sell you a stainless FP. You have to send the gun to them. If I could find an EMP SS FP, I would buy one to try. It's my carry gun so I'll keep shooting it with my reloads as SD ammo.

My emp also had fte. Turns out it was my extractor. Some emp have their extractor glued or some sort. I sent it to springfield and they pinned it and polished the feed ramp.

For handloads, if it get stuck, it's very likely the rounds is too long, so the bullet stick into the rifling before the case touches the chamber rim.

Field strip the gun, remove the barrel, then place the offending round (or it's brethren) into the barrel and see if it chambers all the way by hand. Try pushing the round into the barrel with your thumb. If the rounds is OK, then the brass will be pushing up against the step from chamber to barrel and the rounds should just fall out again. If the round is loaded too long then the bullet will be jammed into the rifling and you'll have to pull to get the round out. It should just fall out if only the case is headspacing on the rim and nothing else is getting in the way.
