A friend of mine let me try his 4"Springfield XD45 today and I must say I was impressed. I was at Davis Street outside and shot five strings of twenty rounds each of different factory ammunition. As the factory says the sights are set for a six o'clock hold, that's what I used.
At twelve yards, all the loads saw at least 75% fall inside a three inch "Shoot 'n Cee," shot while using a three point Weaver stance. Lord knows the gun felt good in my hand, and I liked that the LCI was not intruding in the line of sight. The trigger pull was a bit longer than I'm used to but it was really no problem. The piece fired cleanly every time and grip safety is effective but not noticeable.
It didn't take more than 100 rounds before I could see a place for it in my safe back home. Now since my pal has two of these things ...
