CZ P-01 trigger

Hi all, I wondered if I could get some help/guidance. I recently came across and purchased a CZ P-01. I had been reading the hype for years about these pistols and when I saw one, I jumped on it. First impression...awesome! The gun shot great. Super flat shooter, magnificently controllable and sincerely put a smile on my ugly face. Having said that, my trigger finger felt like it was shot at the end of about a 150 round shoot. The curved trigger did a job on my trigger finger! Suggestions?

Don't think you can do the flat trigger on a decocker. Try the 85B trigger. The stock P-01 trigger is known to give you a little bit of trigger bite because of the shape of it.

You want the 85c trigger.If it were mine I'd get the CGW pro package which comes with an 85c trigger. They are much more comfortable on the trigger finger than the stock curved trigger.

To me it's worth the coin but there's a waiting list ...also worth the wait. This will turn your CZ into something special though . Highly recommended.

They're easy to install, and if the trigger doesn't bug you too much it's easy enough to just put in a slightly lighter hammer spring and trigger and call it a day.

Holy crap, are you me? I was seriously coming here to post exactly the same thing. Brand new p-01, put 170 rounds through it and felt like my finger was hit with a hammer. The cgw pro package is very tempting, but at 3/4 the price of the gun, it's hard to justify. I did read somewhere that it should smooth out after 500 or so rounds, so thinking I'll give it some time and revisit the cgw option later?

How easy is the trigger replacement? Easy to do on your own, or is there adjustment needed? The trigger replacement on the p226 was just a drop in and was super easy, is this similar or does it require a smith?

according to CGW, you need to purchase a pin, a spring and the punch from them for the trigger job.

Haven't done a cz yet. I've done the srt kit on a Sig 226 before. My understanding is that it isn't "easy," if you have to remove the sear cage. Someone on calguns posted an awesome cz trigger job thread. I'll be referencing that for sure.
