    M&P Shield Night Sight HELP

What are you using? Why? Compared to stock sights?

Reason I ask is I just wasted $75 (plus install fee, plus another fee to install whatever I get to replace these)

Bought the Truglo TFO sights. THEY'RE AWESOME - if they fit your gun.

The ones I bought on Amazon said M&P and in the questions said they were the updated version for the Shield. BOLOGNA! The size issue was supposedly width of the rear sight anyway. But it's far worse than that.

Even without a round in the chamber, the front sight is a little obstructed. With a round in the chamber and indicator up, completely worthless and unusable.

I'll update this thread with some pics when I get home.

Any help or guidance is appreciated. Loved this pistol bone stock but want something that will work well at night for my aging eyes.

Answering my own question, for now anyway.

I don't know why I tried to save some money on the Truglo, should have just gone with the Trijicon in the first place. Called them and after a brief hold it was confirmed that the HD's for the shield sit higher than the indicator.

I ordered a set. Will take photos of before and after.

I like these (with the orange dot). As I recall, they were about half this price on eBay.

Sorry to hear of your woes.

While Amazon is great for most things, Amazon is not the end all for all shopping.

At least the gave a great return policy, so you'll get your money back for sights. So technically you're only out the install fee .

Seems to be fairly common with aftermarket sights for the CA Shield. MFGs and their ads don't take into account the stupid CA LCI.

Ya, if I wasn't a jackass. Trashed the packaging at the store when I picked up.

I'll find somebody that wants em though. Not the end of the world.

A cheaper fix might just be to lower or remove the LCI...

Ya, I saw the apex offerings on this but just don't think it's a good idea. Seems like a good way to get shafted somehow. FUD
