    Colt python

Does anyone know if I can still find and buy a Colt python 6 inch New from a gun store. Are there any production runs.

I would like one for concealed carry

Don't waste your time with that nonsense. Get the Desert Eagle for CCW instead.

Colt stopped production of Snake revolvers around 2005 I believe.

No, there have been no new Colt Pythons for many years. You could buy a used one in like new condition for a LOT of $, but you would do better with a modern revolver for a lot less money (Smith & Wesson, Ruger, etc.).

You guys don't know what you're talking about. Turners was chock full of 'em. Unfortunately they were only the 4" variety so not as good for CCW. They're in the back, have to ask, show 'em your Calguns membership card.

Placer Co has a maximum caliber of .45 for listed weapons. Must've been the .44mag version

edit: or you're not referring to the desert eagle

Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Yes 44. This was years ago. Turners eh? Now where did I leave my CGF members card?

You have to pay using g-pal too. Sorry, forgot to mention that.

New,very doubtful, found a six inch blue last Saturday at LGS,got lucky.
If you see one and don't buy it that day,it will be more money the next day.
There will not be any new production---stopped about 2005? The one I
got is from 1966 and although not perfect it's an excellent example with
a 60s action----which is very smooth. These revolvers were just about
made by hand -----very high ticket item.

Yep. A 6" Python would be the ideal firearm for conceal carry. People will mistaken that bulge in your pants for something else. Is that a snake in your pants?

If it's too long you can always take a hack saw to it and cut it to the length that works for you.

It's a little more complicated than that.

You actually need to saw the barrel twice to remove the middle section, and then JB Weld them back together. It's the only way to retain the front sight.

I just hold my finger in front of the barrel as an impromptu front sight. Works like a charm!
