    Resizing 1911 g10 grips

    Hello,
Is it possible to sand down the flat side of VZ style grips to make them thinner or will they break or not fit correctly?
I would assume since their flat it would be ok to a certain extent.
Also how hard is that g10 material and if I sanded the top side of some aggressive grips, would it ruin the finish or just make them smoother?

    Any info appreciated

The grip screw head must never touch the grip screw bushing. So the grip has to be a certain thickness.

If you change out the grip screw bushings to slim line and grip screws to slim line, you might as well get the slim grip panels.

Just make sure to replace the grip screw bushings and grip screws.
