I have done this a number of times. My father comes to Cali every winter and he gifts me a gun every couple of years or so and he is getting up in age so he wants me to care for some of his more prized possessions like Colt Pythons.
The last time he gave me three guns at my house. I sent the form into Carmella Harrison with three guns listed and paid the $20. I got a letter with the three guns listed as now legally mine. No Dros, no FFL, no 10 day wait and since they are all. Y definition "Used" no 1-30 days crap

If your father isn't a CA resident then you and he have broken federal laws.

If you find the form you will notice that they don't even ask the name of the relitive, just the relationship.
I will be submitting another this year with around 30 handguns most are over 50 years old so I will keep you posted. Dad is wanting me to take over the collection so I guess I'll have to make room in the safe for his dozen Pythons. LOL
There are three slots to put the gun facts in but in the directions it states that you can add as many as you need in the same application all for $20

When ownership crosses state lines the firearm MUST go through an FFL. No matter state law.

Location? And fyi you would be subject to 1-30 in regards to handguns.

Any FFL can. You can only DROS 1 gun every 30 days.

The form you are using is only between two CA residents. You don't even use that form for an interstate intrafamlial transfer.

He is in his 80's. as much as I'm not looking forward to it, he would be long dead before he could transfer them at a rate of one a month. He inherited several more a couple of years ago from his father. Is it different if it's a collection and inheritance apon death? I'm going to need a lawyer for this, maybe he should just sell them all in a free state.

To be honest your confusing multiple ways to get guns. You should maybe start your own thread with questions. Inheritance is different though.

Interstate transfer does NOT use the OPLAW form - correct transfer through a CA FFL accomplishes all the documentation required.
