If owned before 2017, all it needs is a mag lock and 10rd mags. And registration (if and when)

That's what I thought.. but took it to range and they said it now considered a carbine under new law. Can't sell it unless fully converted

All pistols with mag outside grip have to be fixed mag no reg as aw.I think beanz wrong. My ar pistol must be fixed mag and have had it for years.

correct, needs to be fixed mag for any CA transfer made after 1.1.17 and pending the final version of the AW laws.

The Tailhook itself, just part that attaches to tube, is already out. People are waiting for the adapter part that attaches to the Scorpion stock folder.

Pistols with a removable magazine outside the grip owned in CA before 2016 cannot potentially be registered as CA AW? Of course I assumed OP's Scorpion was bought by him before 12/31/2016. I was suggesting that he keeps it.
