    Python---30 day consignment hazard

We all know they don't show up every day. Doing PPT at LGS Saturday
saw a nice 6" Blue older 1966 Python on display. Being a consignment it has to wait 30 days before DROS. The hazard of waiting for 30 days before BUYING would be a disaster! So now I wait And NO----it's not on display anymore!
When you cock it---you have to look to see if the cylinder is rotating-- its
so smooth. I've had several Pythons over the years but none since I moved
here in 1995. Even in the 70s and 80s I never held a sixties era Python. I'm
a Colt person 100% but I'll be honest in my assessment over the years ---they
are not as robust as other 357 Magnum revolvers but we all know it's about
the LOOKS! They also have a reasonable weight and their balance is fine, did
    I mention they're smooth?
    Doesn't have a blued hammer,either.

No,I'm not sharing what I paid. I will say---it is FAR less (25% +)then any Python I've seen here in the MP in the past few months ----which will tells you a lot. Colts
hold their value very well---I recently saw a stainless snake Colt revolver in the
same LGS for $1500. I've seen the same gun here, asking $2200 and
            conditions were about the same.

                    Congrats!

Will this be a shooter, or a collector/investment piece?

Nice catch, there was a Colts Gold Cup in the case for $1600 in a presentation case, and I passed on it. I still have the boot mark on my 6
                      Seriously missing the 80's.....

I would have gone with the Gold Cup.

Sounds like a nice find on the snake GM. Looks like that Trooper cash burnt a hole in the pocket eh? Man that one was sweet. Anywho, share some photos when you get it.
